Why Choose Us?

Pool Invoice is a pool billing program for the swimming pool industry with a twist. Our goal is to help every pool professional. From the new pool guys entering the industry to the experienced pool pros. Our goal is not to just offer an application, but to help educate and train with the entire pool billing process. From billing practices to bookkeeping and Profit and Loss best practices for the swimming pool pro.

Our goal is to provide an application and educate the pool pro on how to run a successful and profitable business. We teach users how to track expenses and why it is so important for the success of their business. We teach them what a Profit and Loss is and how important it is to look at on a monthly basis.

TRACK INCOME BY SEGMENTS
Track your income by segments so you know exactly where your money is coming from. It is crucial to know exactly how much you are making in repairs, filter services, monthly service etc. Once you know how much money you are making in each segment you can set goals to ensure you increase your revenue and profits.

If you don’t track and know how many filters you serviced and how much revenue you made by servicing filters how will you know if your revenue is up or down vs the prior month. Don’t make the mistake many pool guys do. They think that just because money is coming in that they are making money. That’s not the way a real business works. Know your income segments such as repairs, parts, labor, filter service, monthly service, etc. and set goals to increase them.

KNOW YOUR EXPENSES
Do you want to achieve higher profits? Then know what your expenses are and how much you are spending on each one. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is not to track your expenses and know where your money is going. Every successful business knows exactly what their expenses are and continuously monitors them to ensure they stay in line.

Once a year shop those expenses to ensure you are getting the best deal. Start with something simple like car insurance. If you can reduce your insurance by just $40 a month (which does not seem like a lot) it adds up to $480.00 per year.  Now factor in your chemical cost, telephone cost, medical insurance, gas, etc. and imagine how much money you are leaving on the table.

Guys, there are distributors that charge $20.00 more for a bucket of tabs. Shop your expenses!!!

PROFIT AND LOSS
Know exactly how much money you are making. Having checks come in does not mean that you are making money. If you want to be successful in any business you need to know exactly how much money you are making so you can make adjustments and achieve higher profits.

If your income is $50,000 per year, but your expense are $30,000 per year you are only making $20,000 per year, and your profit is only 40%. That means that for every dollar that you made you only kept 40. cents.

With a profit and loss statement, you can look at your income and expenses on one page and get a quick view of how you are doing in both areas. Income and Expenses. You can see where the money is coming in from and where your money is going.

If your income is down you can look at it and see if it is that you have serviced fewer filters, fewer repairs, etc. Then you can adjust and focus on those areas.

If your expenses are up you can also look at those and make adjustments to cut those expenses and keep your profit UP!!!!

A profit and loss statement is a MUST tool for every business owner. Do it how the successful business does it. Learn your financials and be more profitable. Don’t be afraid to learn. It’s repetitive and easy to learn. Remember when you were learning to clean a filter and thought it was hard to get all those grids to line up, but then after a couple of times, you could do it with your eyes. It’s the same thing

TESTIMONIALS

Our goal is to help you learn the other side of the pool business. There are many out there that teach you about service and repairs, but not many that talk about billing, revenue and profit and loss. But that’s why we are here.
Justin Meyers
I took over my dads business over 4 years ago and had a hard enough learning the day to day of cleaning pools and learning how the equipment worked. I used to work in a machine shop and had no idea about billing. I was able to get in contact with Edgar over at Pool Invoice and he was able to help me set up my billing. Over time he continued to call me to make sure I was doing all of the steps that needed to be done in the billing cycle. He taught me about Profit and Loss statements. I had no idea what that was. It has really helped me drive my business and look at it from a different perspective.

I had Edgar help me with my billing and really teach me how to get the most out of the system. I love the dashboard with the revenue, payments, and monthly graph so I can see how I am doing.

John Quan's Pool Service
I started working with Pool Invoice when they were just starting up and I only had 60 pools. I was ready to get out of the business. I wasn’t making enough money. Now I have over 350 pools. What really stuck with me and clicked was the average rate. Not what rate I charged, but what my average rate was. It was too low and was not making enough money. Once we started working on my average rate and started pushing to increase that number my profit started to increase. You increase your average rate and you increase your profit.

I have been very mechanically inclined and was able to learn the pool business fast, but where I struggled was learning about the billing and money side. They taught me a lot about tracking expenses and the profit and loss. It really helped me.

I love my chats with the guys at pool invoice. You can tell that they are pool guys and they have been in the business. That is huge because you are not dealing with people that don’t understand the business.
